The federal government has committed us to reducing our greenhouse emissions by 60% over the next 40 years. Meanwhile the demand for electricity continues to head north. Maybe the answer will come from on high, beneath our feet, or it's blowing in the wind. Join us for the first of two panel discussions on tackling that target. Today proponents of renewable energy put forward their best, new technologies.

Summary: Tackling that target (part two): Forget renewable energy. Clean coal and 'nice' nuclear will be the way to go if we are to slash greenhouse gas emissions. It's all about base load and consumer expectations. This week, in the second of two public forums on technology and climate change, supporters of coal and uranium make their case

Yes my conscience certainly feels contented and peaceful when I do the right things with life, and supporting companies with ethics is certainly a thoughtful and wise direction forward…
